A message from Towson University:
The following message was sent to campus students in advance of Tigerfest this weekend. In addition to university staff patrols, we would appreciate reporting any disruptions, or disturbances to our Student Lifeline 410-704-LIFE which will be in operation from 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm on Friday, April 28 and Saturday, April 29.
Tigerfest is happening on Friday and Saturday, April 28th & 29th! As one of TU’s longstanding traditions, many students look forward to Tigerfest each year because it provides a fun way to celebrate spring and the imminent close of another academic year.
Tigerfest has grown over the years into a weekend full of activities. Here is a list of some of the events happening on Tigerfest Weekend:
Friday, April 28 Tigerfest Festival from 6 – 10 pm in Lot 26, Glen flat parking lot: carnival games, rides, food trucks, Battle of the Bands winners and Chase Bryant, headliner.
Saturday, April 29 Tigerfest Concert Headliner: 2 Chainz with opening act Dreezy (ticketed event) doors open 6:30 pm – SECU Arena
Both Baltimore County and City have Social Host Ordinances in place to address loud parties. Fines for students hosting these parties start at $500 and increase to $1000 for second offenses. Landlords are notified and fined on the second occurrence.
- Know that again this year, Baltimore County Police will be patrolling for large parties and addressing under-age drinking and disruptive/disorderly conduct.
- Parties will be dispersed and student hosts will be cited. Disruptive behavior will not be tolerated either by the County Police or by Towson University.
- Students can and will be held responsible for their behavior off-campus, as well as on campus.
The greater Towson community is made up of much more than the university and our students. Please be considerate of your neighbors throughout the weekend and think about how your family would react if their own neighbors demonstrated disruptive behavior.
Thank you for supporting a safe and enjoyable weekend.
