Dashing Through the Forge
Rodgers Forge is known for our festive holiday decorations, as well as our community spirit. The lights around the neighborhood bring joy and a visual reminder of what community means to us. Please join us in fun and fellowship at our annual Dashing Through the Forge event.
As in years past, we will have our annual Santa visit and holiday decorating contests. Santa will be making his appearance throughout the neighborhood on the evening of December 16th, escorted by Officer Foley of the BCPD and DJ Dan. Please watch our social media for details on Santa’s route.
The categories for the decorating contest are:
Forge Finest: white lights, greens, candles, wreaths
Joy to the Forge: colorful lights, super festive, props, characters
8 Nights of Lights: best Chanukah display
Forge, Hon: creative, themed, over-the-top
Best Block: The winner will be decided by Rodgers Forge residents – whichever block receives the most votes will win bragging rights AND a pizza party!
On Friday, December 16th from 6:00-8:00 PM, please join your neighbors to DASH THROUGH THE FORGE. On that day, the RFCA Board will decide the winners of our house-decorating contests, and YOU, the residents, will be voting for the Best Block! That’s the one that most exemplifies the Rodgers Forge spirit and fills you with holiday cheer. The block that gets the most votes will win a pizza party! Thank you to Em Barlow of The Balcerzak Group for sponsoring the pizza party last year, and for donating again this year! Also a huge thank you to Brian Coleman from Main Street Home Loans for helping to sponsor this year’s event.
Finally, on the 16th, we will have concessions available for purchase and a toy drive to help spread the joy of the season to children in need. We are thrilled to announce that our community partners from last year (Dizzy Cow Pizza, Dunkirk Designs, and Em Barlow) will all return, and we are looking for new participants to join us!
