Dumbarton House Update

During the recent RFCA annual meeting, Towson Precinct Police Captain Chemilli attended to answer questions regarding the planned use of the historic Dumbarton House as a “backup” station for emergency use. Captain Chemelli indicated that the facility would only be used as a fully operative station in the event of an unforeseen emergency which would make the Towson Precinct Station temporarily unsafe or inoperable. Dumbarton House will be upgraded by improving hardware, internet access, and cameras. It is anticipated that barring an emergency, it will generally be used more as a police sub-station with facilities for officers to write reports or take a brief lunch break.
