Dumpster and RFCA Community Clean-Up Day – April 10th

**Please be sure to wear a mask and respect social distancing when dropping off items!**

Dumpster Day is here - Saturday, April 10th! There will be dumpsters available for bulk trash disposal at the Rodgers Forge Elementary School parking lot. The dumpsters should arrive around 8 AM and will be available until noon or when they are full. We will have volunteers on hand to assist with the proper disposal of items into the dumpsters. All neighborhood volunteers are welcome to assist as well. Most trash and household items will be accepted. Please note, we will not accept large items that cannot be lifted manually.

ITEMS ABSOLUTELY PROHIBITED: asbestos materials (including shingles) acids, antifreeze, caustics, pesticides, chemicals (includes oil and paint), animal carcasses, appliances with freon, batteries drums or tanks (unless clean and cut in half), electronics, explosive or flammable materials, large stumps, liquids or liquid waste, medical or radioactive waste, metal items, wood or logs greater than eight inches in diameter and six feet in length, tires.

In addition to cleaning out your own spaces, please join us for spring cleaning of our beautiful community! Across the parking lot from the Dumpster Day dumpsters (near the school cafeteria), there will be a table for residents to pick up cleaning supplies. This event will also start at 8 AM and last until 11 AM.

  • Street and block numbers to clean up will be assigned when supplies are picked up to help cover the neighborhood evenly.

  • Walk the neighborhood and pick up any litter or debris from streets, sidewalks, and alleys.

  • Return the filled trash bags to the table where they were picked up. PLEASE DO NOT PUT BAGS IN DUMPSTER DAY DUMPSTERS. We need to reserve space in the dumpsters for residents’ items. Filled trash bags used for community clean-up will be handled separately.

The RFCA association is looking forward to this great event – see you there!
