RFCA Candidates for 2022-2023

Here are your candidates for the RFCA board for 2022-2023 (term to expire in 2024). These bios are also available to view in the most current newsletter. The election for new members will take place virtually on Zoom during the annual meeting Thursday, October 6th at 7 pm. All are welcome to attend and can find the link to join here.

Claudia Lamm has lived on Stanmore Road since 1997.  She spent the last 14 years of her healthcare career at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.  Since retirement, she has attended monthly book club meetings, 4-5 dance classes a week at the Towson Y, and taken daily walks with a neighbor and his pooch. She occasionally hosts puppy playdates in her backyard.  She loves Rodgers Forge, her neighbors- especially her doggie neighbors for whom she always provides cookies.  Recently she started to think that she needed to do more to give back to the community so she submitted an application to volunteer at Dumbarton Middle School.  She previously served on the RFCA board and also hopes to be among those elected in October to serve RF.

Gary Pick bought his house in 2005 from his family after his grandmother, Madeline Rock, passed away.  She lived in the house for over fifty years and moved to Rodgers Forge to be close to her mother who built a house in Stoneleigh somewhere around 1922.  He had two houses, on in Annapolis and this house until deciding to stay solely in Rodgers Forge.  He owns a technology company that builds software applications including one application to help promote local music events.   He also owns Towson Exterior, a service company with about five hundred customers in and around the Towson area.   Gary regularly participates in local events including being the designated holiday light hanger on my block for the past two years.   He lives with his best friend, a chocolate lab named Hershey, who enjoys walking around the neighborhood saying hello to everyone and making new friends.

Gerald Truelove and his wife, Beth, are longtime residents of Stanmore Court. They raised their two children on The Court and have terrific memories of tire swings, scouting activities, coaching TRC soccer, RFES art shows, DMS concerts, and THS graduations. Occasionally when the children visit, they also get to share neighborhood walks and Tot Lot visits with their four grandchildren. Gerry has served on the RF Board for eight years, having gotten involved with issues related to Towson University construction and expansion. His primary interest is related to external affairs as they impact the neighborhood including development, zoning, transportation and county services.  His latest focus includes bringing free concerts to the historic Dumbarton House glen and this architecturally historic neighborhood.

Matthew Keadle and his wife Emily moved to Rodgers Forge in 2022 and
live on Regester Ave. Matthew grew up in Timonium and, after spending
the last 7 years in the DC area, is excited to be back in Baltimore
County. Matthew is a CPA and is an avid pianist and cyclist in his
free time.  He recently served on the Bethesda Transportation Solutions
Advisory Committee in Bethesda MD, where he developed a passion for
supporting walkable and bikeable communities. He is excited to bring
that same passion to Rodgers Forge and help make it a great place to
live.

Matt Turner and his fiancé, Sarah Miller, have just moved into Rodgers Forge in August on Dumbarton Road.  Matt is a Cape Cod native who naturally loves the beach and is a big Boston sports fan. Matt has recently started a new job as a financial advisor at Deloitte. His fiancé Sarah's mother and grandmother grew up in Rodgers Forge and the community has always been a part of their lives. Matt being a newcomer has loved how welcoming the neighborhood has been and wants to get involved, meet others, and give back to the community. He feels that joining the board will allow him to do so and be a way to use his creative ideas to further make Rodgers Forge a better place.

Sean Miller, his wife Kelly, and daughter Sloan have lived in Rodgers Forge since 2018 and live on Overbrook Road. Sean is a realtor with Berkshire Hathaway and his wife Kelly works for the United Way of Central Maryland.  Walking his two dogs around the neighborhood and always running into someone to chat with is one of Sean’s favorite things about Rodgers Forge. “I believe what attracts people the most to Rodgers Forge is the community. Active participation from residents is a small but crucial part of what makes Rodgers Forge so special. I am grateful to have the opportunity of continuing to help our community thrive.”

Jessica Watkins and her husband, David, moved into Rodgers Forge in 2009. They have two children, Benjamin (11) and Gemma (8), and 3 beloved pets; Carol (sheepdoodle puppy), Tony and Steve (tabby cats). Dave is a middle school science teacher at Crossroads Center in Baltimore County, and Jessica works for Abbott Laboratories, where she sells medical testing for infectious diseases, oncology, and genetics. Their family enjoys participating in the board-sponsored neighborhood activities and Jessica has enjoyed spending time with neighbors while volunteering at these events.  It has been Jessica’s honor to serve on the Rodgers Forge Board in the past, and she welcomes the opportunity to renew her commitment to serving our community.

Gina Muscara moved with her family to Rodgers Forge from the city two years ago and have comfortably settled into their new house and neighborhood. Their very active toddler was an infant when they first moved in, and the family has since added a new baby to the family. Gina is an advanced practice nurse at the University of Maryland, and her partner, Mike, is a professional musician and educator. Gina originally joined the board to get involved, learn about the neighborhood, and be an active part of my community. In seeking re-election, Gina looks forward to continuing to do so!

Dylan Carney, his wife, and two daughters have lived on Brandon Road for about 4 years. The neighborhood has given the family so much to be thankful for that Dylan wanted to return the favors by helping out the RFCA board. Dylan hopes to help the Forge continue as a wonderful place for all especially through events and green space. Dylan works for Under Armour and his wife is a kindergarten teacher at RFES. They also have a wonderful dog who loves the neighborhood just as much. Dylan is originally from North Carolina and his wife grew up in the Towson area.

Annie Darrow moved to Rodgers Forge five years ago after 30+ years in northern CA. Annie first joined the board in 2018 to get to know people and help with community events. Annie served four years, and thinks her biggest accomplishment was getting the new neighborhood sign delivered and hung by volunteer board members a few years ago! Many thanks go to former board members who worked on the design and production prior to her involvement; it was a multi-year endeavor indeed. Annie’s background is in international relations and educational travel (15 years planning and leading Stanford alumni trips) followed by an abrupt turn to special education advocacy when she raised my two sons (Brad, 26 and Andrew, 23). Her focus has been on autism and mental health services in both K-12 and young adults in Baltimore County. While Gina never thought she’d be back in the mid-Atlantic area, she am grateful she has secured independent living with supports for Andrew compared to the 20+ year waitlist he was on in CA. Her interests include hiking, piano, kayaking, puggles, land conservation, steeplechase/timber racing, politics, coffee, Stanford football, and our fabulous Ravens. She would like to serve again on our board and looks forward to meeting many of you at our community events!
