York Road downzoned to BLR and CB

The RFCA would like to thank Councilman David Marks for downzoning the stretch of York Road from Dumbarton Road to Overbrook Road. The west side (Bank of America, Starbucks, etc.) is now CB (Community Business) and the east side (Uncle Wiggly’s, Ayd Hardware, Stoneleigh Lanes, etc.) is BLR (Business Local Restricted). This is what the RFCA and other community groups were requesting and we thank the councilman for this action!

We hope that between the downzoning and the Councilman’s recently passed bill to ban new drive-throughs in this area that we can help our local businesses thrive and keep the area’s walkability and charm.

We encourage everyone to utilize these small businesses whenever possible. Whether you need dinner, a haircut, a night of entertainment, a new bike, a workout, flowers, or a mortgage (and more), you can find it right here on York Road!
