Community Corner: Plant a Canopy Shade Tree

Time is Running Out for new CANOPY SHADE TREES in your yard! 

By 9/4/21, please contact Rodgers Forge Green Committee to get a new native shade tree planted in your yard by volunteers this fall. 

Canopy Shade Trees not only make your yard and our neighborhood more beautiful, but they also grow at least 40 ft tall, provide you with shade on hot days, absorb stormwater, buffer noise, filter air pollution, and raise property values. 

Only $40 per tree, purchased and planted through Bluewater  Baltimore. Costs are supported by Rodgers Forge Community  Association, donations, grants, and the work of many volunteers. 

Species include London Plane, various Oak species, Tulip Poplar, and many others.
